In a heartfelt effort to honor and support our elders, JCI Mandaue, through the Got Heart national program of JCI Philippines, successfully organized Tanging Yaman – Golden Years of Strength & Health. This special initiative provided 150+ senior citizens with access to 10 free essential health services, ensuring their well-being and celebrating their invaluable contributions to our community.
Beyond medical assistance, this initiative was a tribute to the strength, wisdom, and resilience of our elders. With engaging activities, meaningful interactions, and much-needed healthcare support, Tanging Yaman became more than just an event—it was a day of gratitude, connection, and giving back to those who have given us so much.
None of this would have been possible without the dedication and generosity of our merry men, volunteers, doctors, healthcare professionals, sponsors, and partners, whose unwavering commitment and compassion have made a lasting impact on the lives of our elders. Their kindness and service serve as a powerful reminder that our senior citizens are cherished and valued members of our society.
A special acknowledgment goes to our Project Chairs, Dir. Christian Castillanes and Associate Member, Dr. Jesse Villanueva, whose dedication and hard work brought this initiative to life, and to Jess Dela Cruz, VP for Community, whose guidance and mentorship ensured its success as co-chair. Your leadership and passion made this event truly meaningful, creating a space where our elders felt cared for, supported, and celebrated.
As we continue our mission to serve and uplift communities, JCI Mandaue remains committed to initiatives that promote health, well-being, and social responsibility. Let’s keep working together to create a future where everyone—especially our elders—receives the care, respect, and love they deserve.
