In its effort to help sustain and rebuild economies and strengthen workforce morale in light of the devastating impact of the Covid-19 pandemic and Typhoon Odette, JCI Mandaue under its Sagop Bakhaw program, will be launching its Bakhaw Growers Cooperative.
The Sagop Bakhaw: Bakhaw Growers Cooperative will help provide valuable information and support to the fisher folk communities of Sta. Rosa, Olango Island. The event will consist of several sessions aimed at promoting cooperative membership, mental health wellness, livelihood programs, and the systematic management of fisheries and aquatic resources.
Cooperative Orientation session will offer participants an overview of cooperative membership, highlighting the benefits of cooperation, the process of becoming a member, and the responsibilities associated with membership.
Mental Health Awareness Seminar will focus on the importance of mental health wellness, covering topics such as recognizing signs and symptoms of mental health conditions, effective stress management techniques, and available resources for mental health support.
Livelihood Programs Talk, specifically exploring the subjects of Mud Crab Farming (RAS) and Mangrove Nursery. Participants will have the opportunity to learn about these programs and their potential for enhancing livelihood opportunities.
Systematic Management of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Talk will provide insights into effective approaches for managing these valuable resources.
