President's Message · 2016 Ramil Juanico Montealto, CIS, MM
It is an honor and privilege to lead the Merry Men of JCI Mandaue this 2016. I will always be forever grateful to our Chapter, especially to NEVP’s Jimmy B. Flores and Carlo Pontico C. Fortuna, two great pillars of JCI Mandaue, for inviting and giving me the opportunity to be part of JCI Mandaue.
For the last nine years, I have been a witness of how the Merry Past Presidents and Merry Members made an impact to the community, particularly in giving new hope and bright smiles to the medically underserved kids with cleft left and/or palate. Moreover, I take pride in our efforts of managing Mandaue City Alay Lakad as we raise more funds and set activities for our out-of-school youths, get them out from the streets and send them back to school.
Our Chapter has continued to expand despite of some challenges we faced. It has been said though that difficulty or adversity BUILDS character. In a way, we can say that the challenges our Chapter has faced so far, and continue to face, have helped BUILD our character. More so, we also believe that difficulties or adversities REVEAL character. The challenges and difficulties we have faced have revealed that we, as a Chapter, have what it takes to be resilient.
As Merry Men of JCI Mandaue, we are called to do our share as responsible active citizens. Let us generate more programs and services that are relevant to the needs of Mandaue City and the World, so we may be able to touch more lives and make a difference! Let our 53 years existence celebrate the beauty of life and let us continue to create positive change!
